Choir of Trinity College Concert

The Choir of Trinity College from Melbourne, Australia tours the US this summer, with an inaugural performance in Fremont. The Choir is described by ABC Classics as "imaginative, wide-ranging and very musical." The group has performed in England, North Wales, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, the US and their native Australia. In September 2004 the Choir performed in Texas, Boston, New York and San Francisco. Their return to the Bay Area this summer features a benefit concert for the Ohlone College Chamber Singers at Mission San Josˇ in Fremont.
The choir showcases six centuries of music; from the Renaissance to contemporary works by Chilcott, Fowler and Ives, folk songs, and easy listening tunes everyone can enjoy. Guided by Director of Music Michael Leighton Jones, the choir is comprised of 24 choral scholars and 3 organ scholars. Leighton Jones performed more than a thousand concerts in over forty countries before joining Trinity College as the Music Director in 1997.
