Undefeated: Kids Sports Camp
By Idorenyin Uto-Uko
It's the middle of June again. That could mean only one thing for parents: School is out for the summer. To relieve you of stress and before you go crazy having your kids at home, sign them up for Kids Sports Camp.
The camp is hosted by the Christ Community Church of Milpitas. Boys and Girls ages 7-12 of all skill levels are encouraged to participate in this athletic week of fun. There are five action-packed mornings of baseball, basketball, cheer leading, soccer, tennis, and volleyball. Every day there will be practices in the sport of choice mixed with some "Bible Time."
Each morning campers will meet at the church for a short assembly then walk to the Rancho Junior High Sports fields for practice and training.
The camp coaches are well-trained in their respective sports. They come from across the nation. Many have coached professionally and worked with youth recreation activities extensively.
The knowledge-based camp is a great way for your youth to learn about their sport by also building their spiritual character. "We equip kids spiritually as well as being part of the team" said Laura Wikes, Kids Sports Camp Spokesperson.
The theme for this year's camp is "Undefeated." It's a positive theme for kids and parents as well. Don't feel undefeated this summer; sign up for Kids Sports Camp.
