Free Scrap-booking demo
A wonderful opportunity to learn a new and creative scrap-booking method will be demonstrated by Carine Soriano at the Fremont Art Association Gallery (FAA). Soriano is a passionate woman who loves to teach, and believes humans are born to learn. She takes pleasure in seeing the cheerful faces of her students when they complete their projects.
Soriano learned French picture framing techniques in Paris between 2001 and 2003. In 2003 she moved to Canada and taught picture framing to friends who encouraged her to offer classes to the public. She conducted classes at the Aylmer Art's Council in Canada in 2006 and in the fall of that year, relocated to California.
While teaching the art of picture framing, students inquired about her unique scrap-booking technique, and in response to this overwhelming interest, Soriano added scrap-booking to her class schedule. This cost-effective style focuses attention on photos rather than embellishments.
To view this method of scrapbooking, check Soriano's website at www.trendyframesandcrafts.com.
A free demonstration will be held on Sunday, June 8 at the Fremont Art Association Gallery in Niles (Fremont). Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite photos and a pair of scissors to create a page.
FAA Gallery will showcase framing and scrapbooking projects completed by Soriano's students from June 7 through June 14.
