"Envision Fremont Boulevard" Design Workshop
Fremont Boulevard stretches 8.5 miles from north to south, from one end of Fremont to the other. Along the way, it passes through neighborhoods with vastly different character: residential areas, industrial zones, the Centerville and Irvington commercial districts, and the Central Business District, to name a few.
How would you like Fremont Boulevard to evolve? As part of Fremont's General Plan Update, the City invites the public to participate in a design workshop, "Envision Fremont Boulevard." Scheduled for Saturday, May 31, the exercise will bring together community members, an architectural team, and City planning staff to develop future visions for several segments of Fremont's namesake boulevard. Many of the design ideas that are generated will feed into the updated General Plan.
A second workshop to further refine the community vision for Fremont Boulevard is tentatively scheduled for July 16. So if you have ideas about how you'd like to see Fremont Boulevard change, come join us! Lunch will be provided, but please RSVP to thanano@ci.fremont.ca.us so we order the appropriate amount of food.
