FUSD Citizens Bond Oversight Committee

The Fremont CBOC (Fremont Unified School District Citizens Bond Oversight Committee) which oversees the spending of the $157 million 2002 Health and Safety Bond will meet on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Patterson Elementary School, 35521 Cabrillo Drive, Fremont, CA 94536. The meeting will cover general business including, public outreach and a status report of all projects in predesign, design, and construction stages. In addition, there will be as a review of the bond-specific projects at Patterson school and the informational presentation developed by the committee for updating interested community groups. As always, the public is invited to attend the meeting and there is an opportunity for public input on the agenda.

The committee met last on April 2, 2008, at the District Office, where several new members were present. The committee received an overview of the potential impact of state budget cuts, an overview of bond project financial tracking procedures and the extensive qualification process for contractors who issue winning bids for projects, as well as a review of the current overall status of the district's bond related projects.
