Spring festival supports women's health
By Bosky Panjvani
An evening of wine and gourmet food can be a relaxing end to a hectic day or week. The St. Rose Hospital Foundation has found a way to use this pleasant scenario to raise funds for its Women's Imaging Center. In need of a new Ultrasound machine, the eighth annual Spring Fest has set a goal of $30,000 for this event on Sunday, May 4, at the Stonebrae Country Club in Hayward. The center is also equipped with digital mammography and digital bone densitometry unit, which provides the patients with best possible imagery and treatment.
Spring Fest will feature a silent auction for wine baskets, gift cards, electronic gadgets, and other exciting items donated by local businesses and patrons of the hospital. An extravagant meal will be served by local restaurants and caterers such as Papillon, Splurge, Stonebrae Country Club and Vintage Catering. Quality wines by Chouinard Winery, Cosentino Winery and Lone Oak Wines will accompany the meal. A live auction will follow including items such as two tickets for a trip to Las Vegas or four tickets to the Jay Leno Show.
