Hayward economic summit with Joe Montana

The Hayward Economic Summit 2008 will showcase business and investment opportunities now available in Hayward. Hall of Fame Quarterback turned entrepreneur Joe Montana and other notables in business and economics will provide key information and contacts that will help attendees capitalize on these opportunities. Participants will also learn how to successfully navigate through the current economic slowdown that is making headlines and impacting national, state and local economies.
The Hayward Economic Summit, sponsored by the City of Hayward, the Hayward Chamber of Commerce and California State University East Bay (CSUEB) will take place on the morning of Thursday, April 10. The CSUEB College of Business and Economics will host the event in its new Valley Business and Technology (VBT) Presentation Center. Registration will start at 7 a.m., and the program begins at 8 a.m. after a light continental breakfast.
Presentation Line Up:
Joe Montana, NFL Hall of Fame quarterback for the SF 49ers, is the Keynote Speaker. He will share lessons learned while playing professional football that helped him, and can help others, succeed in business.
Dr. Bill Watkins, Executive Director, Economic Forecast Project, University of California, Santa Barbara, will cover the state of the economy from a national and California perspective.
Bruce Kern, Executive Director, East Bay Economic Development Alliance, will speak about the regional economy as well as local investment trends and opportunities.
Dr. Susan Daluddung, Director of Community and Economic Development, City of Hayward, will share key information regarding business and investment opportunities in Hayward.
Jim Morris, East Bay Commercial Broker with Cushman & Wakefield will speak about commercial real estate trends and opportunities in Hayward.
The Hayward Economic Summit is open to the public. The registration fee is $50 per person. This includes the program, a light continental breakfast, and useful take-away materials.
