Fremont Spring Curling League starting next week
An eleven week spring league will commence Thursday April 10 at 7:30 p.m. This will be at Shark's Ice at Fremont.
If you have not curled at this location you can experience it at the "Friendly" this Thursday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m. to be held at Shark's Ice at Fremont. The Friendly or Open House is free and open to the public of all ages. Members of San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club (SFBACC) will be on hand to teach and assist those interested in the sport of curling on how to play the game. Warm, loose clothing with gym or tennis shoes are recommended. Jeans are not recommended. Gloves and/or hats are optional.
As in 2007, SFBACC expects this league to fully book. Please contact email@example.com with your plans. Let SFBACC know if you are a full team, a partial team, or a single curler. If you wish to spare (be a substitute), contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
The other most asked question is, "will there be a second draw or session at 9:30 p.m.?" That depends on the response to league play and how many people have signed up for lessons. All told, the league can have 64 curlers on two draws for league play, or a combination of league players and lessons being conducted. So, it is important that those interested contact SFBACC members with your input and intentions.
Good curling and keep your broom on the ice.
