On Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 7 p.m. David Sands, assistant patrol director and training officer with Pinecrest Nordic Ski Patrol, will teach you to be prepared for the potential hazards of winter backcountry travel. You'll find out about the latest accident prevention techniques, rescue fundamentals and how to increase your chances of survival, should you get lost, or find yourself facing other unexpected emergencies in the winter wilderness.
