New ongoing classes at Ruggieri Senior Center
Submitted By the City of Union City Leisure Services Department
The City of Union City, Leisure Services Department Senior Program and New Haven Adult School is currently offering a memoir writing class on Tuesdays from 2 - 3 p.m. at the center. Well written memoirs go beyond mere narrative of what happened. They explore what is memorable and deep about our "ordinary" lives. Bring meaningful objects to class, tell the stories behind them, then write about the memories they contain. The class will be taught by Joan Hume.
Spanish classes at the Ruggieri Senior Center are also being sponsored by the City of Union City, Leisure Services Department Senior Program. If you are interested in Spanish and have always wanted to learn these classes are for you. Choose from a beginner's class on Thursdays from 9:15 - 11:45 a.m. or an intermediate level class on Fridays from 9:15 - 11:45 a.m.
Classes started at the beginning of January and are ongoing. Attendance is free if you are a Ruggieri Senior Center member or $2.50 for the drop-in rate each class session.
