Forum to discuss new Ohlone College President
Submitted By Sarah Daniels
In planning for Dr. Treadway's retirement, Ohlone College's Board of Trustees has taken initial steps to begin the search for the next President/Superintendent. To help guide the college in this important process, the Board has selected the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) to assist Ohlone with an inclusive, equitable, and transparent search process.
The college community and the community at large will have their first opportunity to meet our ACCT Search Consultant, Pamila Fisher, and provide input regarding Ohlone's objectives as we consider a future leader for the district. Two open forums have been scheduled on Friday, Nov. 30, at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. to be held in the Smith Center's Jackson Theater.
Everyone is invited to attend these forums. The search for Ohlone College's next President will be one of the most important decisions the Board of Trustees will make and everyone's perspective has value.
At the two public forums, the ACCT consultant will be asking for your candid input on the principle challenges and opportunities that Ohlone College must address in the next five to ten years and the background and experience, educational qualifications, and professional and personal characteristics we should seek in a President/Superintendent to ensure that we successfully manage those challenges and opportunities.
If your schedule does not allow you to participate in the forums, please feel free to share your comments and/or suggestions by e-mailing our consultant, Pamila Fisher, at pamfisher@bresnan.net.
