Union City Photography Contest

All Bay Area residents, age 10 years or older, are eligible to submit their own original photo for the 3rd Annual Union City Photography Contest. The categories for the photo contest are environment, people, candid, family, and animals. Entries will be reviewed by city appointed judges on the basis of creativity, photographic quality, and how the image expresses the theme of the selected category.
There will be four winners for each category. Winners will have their work on display at Paddy's Coffee House, located at 3900 Smith St., Union City. Each winner will also receive a ribbon, certificate, and a special gift.
Participants are only allowed one photo per category, and must have an entry form for each photo. There is a $5 entry fee for each photo submitted, but if you submit a photo for all five categories, there will be a discount rate of $20. Please use cash or check for payment, no credit cards will be taken.
The display for the winning photographs is scheduled to be at Paddy's Coffee House in January. All winners will be notified by Wednesday, Jan. 11. There will be a special reception for photos that are selected on Friday, Jan. 18 at Paddy's Coffee House.
Deadline for entries is Dec. 21 at 4 p.m. and may be mailed in to Jaime Chew at the City of Union City at 34009 Alvarado-Niles Rd., Union City. Entries may also be submitted in person at the Kennedy Community Center, located at 1333 Decoto Rd., Union City.
