November 7, 2007 > Los Tigres Azules finishes season splitting last two games Los Tigres Azules finishes season splitting last two games Submitted By Blaise Castren Los Tigres Azules of the Under-16 FC Fremont Girl's House League completed their season with an exciting 2-1 victory over Arsenal on Saturday, Oct. 27. Paige Castren snapped a 1-1 tie with a rebound goal off a shot by Kara Jeffrey late in the first half. Arsenal had taken a 1-0 lead before Chadin Awad tied the game for Azules with an assist from Mahsa Dinyari. Los Tigres kept up the pressure in the second half as Ladin Awad fired three shots on goal, Jeffrey two and Kimia Khatami one. Saachi Gupta and Neha Subramanyam played a standout game on defense for LTA, as did goalie Kayla Bushey. In the loss to Caution, Thursday, Oct. 25, Awad scored the lone goal for Los Tigres while Erin Kunz, Nicole Torres and Pooja Mhatre played well in the defeat.
