Ohlone for Kids Student Art Contest

In celebration of our 19th annual summer program, Ohlone for Kids (OFK) is submitting an open call for drawing submissions to design the cover for the 2008 catalogue. The contest is open to all students, grades 3-8. Previous OFK participation and attendance is not required.
One first place winner will be awarded with four complimentary summer classes, and their drawing will be featured on the cover of the 2008 catalogue and on OFK website. The second and third prize winners will receive two complimentary summer classes, and honorable mention in the catalog and on the website.
Submissions must be on an 8.5 x 11- inch sheet of plain-white paper and have the students name, school name and address, and teachers name written on the back. Artwork may be created using markers, crayons, colored pencils, chalk, paint, or even a computer generated images. Submissions must reflect the activities and experiences that are typically enjoyed by students in the summer enrichment program and have the official Ohlone College logo and motto included in the design. Submissions must also include an aspect of cultural diversity and some of the educational enrichment themes, activities, or courses offered in the OFK program.
All entries must be received no later than 5 p.m. on Dec. 7 and must be submitted with an official entry form. A printable version of the official contest entry form is available at the OFK website.
