Fremont Soccer Club charity fundraiser
Submitted By Tim Walker
Come join FC Fremont Soccer Club during its Director's Cup Tournament to have some fun while recognizing Coach Aaron Huge's passion and commitment for the game of soccer. Despite a broken leg, a successful battle with cancer, and most tragically the death of his youngest son Tyler who died after a two and half year battle with neuroblastoma cancer on Oct 14 of this year, Huge never walked away from coaching his teams.
The Director's Cup Tournament will be held Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 3 - 4 at Hopkins Jr. High and 10 - 11 at Central Park at 8 a.m. The event will have speed measured goal shots, face painting, and hair spraying. On Nov. 3 - 4 there will also be coffee, donuts, and a BBQ.
Volunteers are needed to assist with the fundraiser. Adults and adult supervised children are welcome to help. This is an opportunity for teens to work for community service hours. Please email volunteers@fcfremont.com or call (510) 506-0121 for more information.
All proceeds from the Director's Cup events will be donated to the Huge family to help with their related costs.
Should you wish to make a donation directly, please write a check payable to Sister John Marie's Pantry and put "Huge Family" on the memo line of the check. Additional information will be available at the food booth. You may also send your check donation to St. Joseph's Church at 43148 Mission Blvd., Fremont
