On Saturday, Oct. 6, Los Tigres Azules, of the Under-16 league, won their second game of the season, whipping Arsenal 5-1. Ladin Awad scored two goals and Saachi Gupta, Neha Subramyam, and Criseida Quintero each added one. Mahsa Dinyari also played well for Azules. Los Tigres followed that up on Thursday, Oct. 11, with another solid defensive game in a 1-0 loss to Caution, a team which had scored five goals against LTA in their first meeting.

Both Kayla Bushey and Awad played well with the goal to hold Caution to the single score. Then on Saturday, Oct. 13, the Azules girls lost 5-2 to undefeated Chaos. Kara Jeffrey scored both LTA goals in the second half with Erin Kunz adding an assist. Nicole Torres played well on defense for Los Tigres.

The Firebirds remain unbeaten as they recorded their eighth and ninth shutouts of the season and ran their record to 10-0 in the Under-12 league. They recorded identical 3-0 victories over the Vipers, Monday, Oct. 8, and against Quicksilver on Saturday, Oct. 13. Raquel Rodas scored two goals and Jenna Wondka one in the victory over the Vipers while Elena Strom and Ashley Campbell chipped in with assists.Goalie Alondra Gamboa made two saves during the second half, while Ciara Valdez blocked a shot on goal from her fullback position.

Against Quicksilver, Rodas scored two more goals while Campbell tallied another. Wondka added an assist. Claire Castren had a nice shot on goal in the first half while Samantha Stephens and Eva Liu played stifling defense.
