Caution, FC Fremont Girls Under-16 House League Soccer

Submitted By Ed Ohye

It was perfect weather for a soccer game on Thursday, Oct. 18th, at beautiful Central Park in Fremont. The two teams that warmed up to play were Caution and Arsenal. This game was the last time these two teams would face each other for the season. You could feel the excitement in the air. Arsenal wanted to settle the score after losing to Caution in the previous match. However, Caution's defense had a different plan for the outcome of the game. With strong play from goalies Sara Talooi and Kamya Raja, Caution denied Arsenal from putting the ball into Caution's net. Caution defenders, Christina Kim, Dipti Kanthilal, Niku Jafarnia, and Nan Li contributed to the shutout with superb play as they kept the ball on the Arsenal side of the field for most of the game. Offensively, Caution came through with four solid goals in the first half, two by Erica Ohye and one each from Selina Mahesri and Malika Rajvanshy. All the goals were assisted by midfielders Zahra Sarwary, Rachel Heng, Rachel McMullen, Alexis Kageyama and Nicole Gronski in the
4-0 Caution win.

Saturday, Oct. 20th at 3:30 p.m., was a sunny, but cold and windy afternoon at Central
Park field #3. In two prior soccer games with Chaos, Caution's offense was unable to break through for any scoring. As this day was Mahesri's birthday, Caution was hoping to help her celebrate it with a victory. Caution defensive players Li, Raja, Jafarnia, Heng, Talooi, Kim, Kanthilal and Sarwary held Chaos' offense to two goals over the first half. During the second half, the Chaos offense proved to be too strong for Caution and put the game away with four more goals for the victory. Caution's offense was led by birthday girl Mahesri, Kageyama, Ohye, Rajvanshy and McMullen who put up a valiant effort with many shots on goal, but none found the back of the net. It was a well played game by both teams.
