"It's a Small, Small World"

"It's a Small, Small World" is the theme of the Tri-City Elder Coalition's 14th annual Seniors' Night Out. This popular event is aimed at those seniors who rarely have an opportunity for "an evening on the town". The night's festivities include dinner, entertainment and wonderful door prizes.
Seniors' Night Out is a Tri-City tradition. Now in its 14th year, it is well known for its merriment, entertainment and most importantly, the opportunity to meet and enjoy good conversation with an older person. This annual event is a celebration for our seniors and an opportunity to fundraise for Tri-City Elder Coalition's programs assisting older adults in the Tri-City area in obtaining goods or services to improve their health, safety or quality of life.
The Tri-City Elder Coalition's primary focus is to implement a 5-year plan, Pathways to Positive Aging, on behalf of ALL our seniors that will enable them to understand, choose and access culturally enriched and affordable services that impact their quality of life. It means building a community that is safe and welcoming; one that respects diversity and values senior participation; a place where information is easily available for all seniors; where seniors can be actively involved and where meaningful exchanges between cultures and generations exist that reflects a community where everyone - regardless of differences comes together in support of one another.
The 14th Annual Seniors' Night Out, "It's a Small, Small World" will be held on Wednesday, October 24th, 2007 at the Newark-Fremont Hilton Hotel. The Seniors Night Out committee is actively looking for Tri-City seniors to invite to this wonderful event. You are encouraged to contact the committee with the names of these special seniors because space is limited and reservations are required.
Seniors' Night Out is also currently seeking sponsorship, individual or corporate and escorts for these seniors. To encourage participation by a wide range of businesses, organizations, and individuals, we welcome sponsors at several levels. As an individual escort, you may either bring someone you know or ask the committee to pair you with a senior. Last year we hosted approximately 200 seniors from the Tri-City area.
