Juice overcome Destroyers then suffer first loss to undefeated Firebirds

Tuesday, September 18, Juice, FC Fremont Girls Under-12 House soccer team, added another win to their season with a 1-0 victory over the Destroyers to improve their record to 4-0. Juice kept the pressure on the entire game with the defensive trio of Rachel Wong, Clarie Gallegos and Kristi Ocon playing a solid back line game. Late in the match, on a pass from Carissa Saylor, Savanna Bennedetti scored the only goal, taking charge and booting the ball into the Destroyer net which gave Juice the lead and the win. With seconds left in the game the Destroyers had a breakaway and one final attempt to tie the game. Juice goalie, Talia Dubois, preserved the win with a big save just as the final whistle blew.
In a game later that week on Saturday, September 22, the two undefeated teams of the league, Juice and Firebirds met on a rainy Saturday morning. Juice suffered their first loss to a tough Firebirds team, by a score of 4-0. Both teams played hard despite the pouring rain. Juice is now 4-1 for the season.
