Firebirds continue winning streak
Saturday, Sept. 22; Monday, Sept. 24

The Firebirds improved to 6-0 with two victories, 4-0 over the previously unbeaten Juice and 4-2 over the Destroyers. Ashley Campbell, Raquel Rodas, Jenna Wondka and Cindy Tafolla scored for the Firebirds against the Juice while Rodas added an assist and Claire Castren had a shot on goal.

The Destroyers, in taking a 1-0 lead, scored the first goal of the season against the Firebirds, before the Firebirds rallied behind two goals by Rodas and one each from Tafolla and Campbell. Kailey Richardson added an assist while Amy de Landa and Kayla Gladish played well for the winners.



Los Tigres Azules fighting hard, but still looking for a "W"
Thursday, Sept. 20; Saturday, Sept. 22

Los Tigres Azules dropped two games, but didn't go down without a fight. They took a 4-2 lead over Caution, but yielded three late goals in falling 5-4. In the loss to Caution, Shadin Awad and Kara Jeffrey each scored two goals. Paige Castren delivered a great lead pass on one of Award's goals and Saachi Gupta had a good game for Los Tigres. Goalie Kayla Bushey recorded six saves.

Against unbeaten Chaos, a team that beat them 7-0 in the opener, Los Tigres was tied 1-1 midway through the first half before losing only 3-1. Awad scored the tying goal against Chaos when she re-directed a free kick by Erin Kunz. Criseida Quintero had an excellent game for Los Tigres.
