'Caution' and 'Arsenal' battle to tie in opener

Submitted By Ed Ohye

It was a beautiful, sunny and cool morning for the Opening Day of the soccer season. Team "Caution" turned up the heat early against an "Arsenal" team on field #9 at Fremont's Central Park. Caution's Alexis Kageyama scored the first goal of the game and young season assisted by Rachel Heng, Selina Mahesri, Malika Rajvanshy and Rachel Mcmullen.

A few minutes later, the Arsenal team equalized the score on a goal by Michelle Macias. The rest of the opening match turned into a hard fought defensive battle as both teams kept the ball out of their nets and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

Congratulations to Caution defensive players Erica Ohye, Christina Kim, Dipti Kanthilal, Niku Jadarnia, Sara Talooi, Kamya Raja, Nicole Gronski, Zahra Sarwary and Nan Li on a well played game to earn the tie.
