Fremont General Plan meeting

Submitted By Dan Schoenholz

Are you interested in what Fremont might look like ten or twenty years from now? The City of Fremont is updating its General Plan, which is a blueprint for land use and development decisions. The City is holding a series of neighborhood forums to hear from community members about their ideas for Fremont's future. This is a great opportunity to influence how the City develops between now and the year 2030.

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday evening, September 11th at 6:00 p.m. at the Warm Springs Community Center located at 47300 Fernald St. If you can't attend this meeting, please come to one of our future forums:

Monday, September 17th at 6:00 p.m. the Olive Hyde Art Gallery, 123 Washington Boulevard.

Monday, October 1 at 6:00 p.m. at Ardenwood Elementary, 33955 Emilia Lane.

Refreshments will be provided, so if you plan to attend any of these meetings, please RSVP to Monica Pinto at 494-4744 or mpinto@ci.fremont.ca.us.

Also, make sure to take the on-line General Plan survey at http://www.fremont.gov/CityHall/GeneralPlan/default.htm , which is a quick and easy way to pass along your ideas about the future.
