July 31, 2007 > Students from Fremont's Sister City visit City Hall Students from Fremont's Sister City visit City Hall Submitted By Maya Williams Ten student representatives, one from each junior high school in Fukaya, Japan (Fremont's sister city since 1979), visited Fremont on July 25 for a cultural learning and home stay experience. The group met with Fremont Vice Mayor Bob Wieckowski and City Manager Fred Diaz at City Hall and learned about Fremont's form of government. City Manager Fred Diaz is pictured wearing a traditional kimono he accepted from the group on behalf of the City.
