July 31, 2007 > Homeowner Renters Assistance Workshop Homeowner Renters Assistance Workshop Submitted By Darby Kernan Senator Ellen Corbett announced she will be holding local Homeowner/Renters Assistance (HRA) workshops in Hayward, San Leandro, Fremont and Newark. The HRA program provides a once a year payment to Californians who are over the age of 62 and/or disabled. The 2007 claim period covers taxes or rent paid in the year 2006. "This is an important program that provides critical assistance to seniors and persons with disabilities," said Senator Corbett. "I want to make sure as many people as possible qualify and get the cash refunds they deserve."
