Theatre - On Golden Pond
Submitted By Mary Glade
Broadway West Theatre Company presents "On Golden Pond" by Ernest Thompson. This love story of Ethel and Norman Thayer contrasts Norman a retired professor with heart problems and a tart tongue who is observant and eager for life as ever with Ethel, his perfect foil. They are visited by their middle-aged daughter and her dentist 'fianc?' who then go off to Europe, leaving his teenage son behind for a summer at the lake.
On Golden Pond runs July 20 - August 18. Performance times are 8 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. There are three Sunday matinees: July 29 and August 5 and 12. Performances begin with a continental brunch (included in price of ticket) at 12:15 p.m. and the show begins at 1 p.m. The August 12 performance starts at 1 p.m. with English tea, sandwiches and scones during intermission (included in price of ticket).
Regular ticket prices are $20 general and $15 for students, seniors and TBA members. Thursday performances are $15 for everyone. Sunday performances and opening night are $20 for everyone. All ticket prices include refreshments.
