July 17, 2007 > Night Shoot Night Shoot Submitted By Aaron Cammarata The Fremont Art Association's Digital Photography Group will be hosting a Night Shoot on Saturday, July 21 at the historic Carriage House near the Fremont Hub Shopping Center. Bring your Digital Cameras and join your neighbors as we practice shooting under these unique lighting conditions. Come learn how to "paint with light" as we playfully experiment with long exposures, remote flashes, hand-held flashlights, and other toys. We will assemble at the historic carriage house on the northeast side of the Fremont Hub shopping center, next to Chili's restaurant. The carriage house is about 1/2 block south of Mowry Ave. on Fremont Boulevard in Fremont. We will be at the park next to the carriage house from 8:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., and spread out from there. This outing is open to all Tri-City residents, and there is no cost to attend. The FAA Digital Photography Group meets monthly in the FAA Gallery (Niles) on the third Saturday of every month. Some topics we cover in our monthly meetings: cameras, printers and gear; free Photoshop lessons; expert photo critiques; technical lectures; framing and matting; preparing for juried art shows; selling your work; peer review; photos of people and children: portraiture and informal; annual holiday party We welcome shutterbugs at all skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a beginner who doesn't know your pixel from your "jay-peg," please join us on this exciting photo shoot! If you'd like to join us for future meetings, we request that you become a member of the FAA. There is no cost associated with the Digital Photography Group beyond the basic FAA membership fees, which start as low as $25 / year for individuals, $20 / year for seniors and students. The Fremont Art Association operates a Gallery located in the historic Niles district of Fremont. The Association offers monthly guest artist demonstrations, gallery exhibiting privileges, feature artist showcases, and the opportunity to interact with a large group of seasoned artists. Membership is open to anyone, 18 years and over who is interested in supporting our goals of fostering, promoting and encouraging the cultivation, and appreciation of Art.
