Celebrate Milpitas

Celebrate Milpitas, A Festival of Art, Wine, Culture and Entertainment, was approved by the Milpitas City Council at their June 19 council meeting. The annual event, sponsored by the Milpitas Chamber of Commerce, is slated for Saturday, August 18 and Sunday, August 19 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Celebrate Milpitas is an annual festival that celebrates a great community and the amazing cultures and technology that are part of its unique make-up. This exciting event unites the community for a weekend of arts and crafts, entertainment, ethnic cuisine and fun for the entire family.

This year Celebrate Milpitas is starting each day with a great big community parade. Saturday begins with a "Hat Parade" and Sunday begins with a "Tee-Shirt Parade." The parades are fun, so gather your friends, your family, your co-workers, your church, club or non-profit organization and join the fun. The judges will be looking for creativity when they are judging the parades, so brain-storm with your group, use your imagination and have fun. There will be a $500 prize awarded to the most creative group in the parades, and three $100 prizes to Second Place groups. The parade participants will meet a 9:30 a.m. and each day, the parade will begin at 10 a.m. You can download the parade rules and application by clicking onto or call the chamber office at (408) 262-2613.

Business Row applications and food vendor applications can also be downloaded from the website If you want additional information about Celebrate Milpitas, please call the chamber office at (408) 262-2613.
