Salvation Army welcomes new Advisory Board members
Julius Murphy, Captain and Corps Officer of the local Salvation Army Community Center welcomed three new members to the Advisory Board on Thursday, June 14. Installing Officer was Commissioner Robert Saunders of Salvation Army Headquarters. Other members of the Advisory Board include: Jim Bell, Michael Allen, Lloyd Anderson, Mark Crutcher, Lalit Mathur, George Redfearn and Chief Ray Samuels.
Along with evangelical ministries to youth and adults, the Salvation Army has provided a plethora of community assistance including food, senior services, REACH Plus, a PG&E assistance program and administration of the annual "ChildSpree" back to school program at Mervyn's Department Store.
