Mariners 6, A's 1
Mariner Kenny Jacoby struck out seven in a convincing win over the A's. Adam Curtis belted two doubles, while Andrew Chang and Kevin Finch each added a pair of singles. Outfielders Jason Cummings, Anthony Achacoso, and Carlos Gee provided steady defense for the Mariners.
Yankees 8, Angels 4
Brandon Wong went 4-for-4 with two RBIs as the Yankees defeated Angels. Brandon Facha, who hit a grand slam in another game in the series, banged two singles and a double. Chandler Witham and Vikram Dharasker singled, while Mitchell Broadwin played stellar defense at second base.
Braves 10, Giants 0
The Braves shut out the Giants, offering plenty of offense in support of pitchers Reid Marion and Wyatt Ott. Slugger Scott Havard drove in three runs with his monster home run over the center field fence. Marion also doubled twice with Ryan Mark driving in three runs and James Gaffey adding an RBI.
Minor National Division:
A's 12, Dodgers 8
The A's hammered six straight hits with two outs in the fifth inning to score seven runs and overtake the Dodgers 12-8. The remarkable stretch started with Cole Nauman's single followed by Jordan Terbeek's RBI single to tie the game. Brother Cade Nauman's two-run double then put the A's ahead after which Julian Tuminaro, Ryan Liu and Chris Desiniotis each doubled to add to the lead. Tuminaro and Terbeek both went 3-for-3 for the game, while Liu scored three runs. Strong pitching from Cade Nauman and Desiniotis held off the Dodgers.
Ryan Lee paced the Dodgers with three hits, including a double, and two runs scored. Aarsh Shah chipped in a pair of hits, with Nihal Manjunath adding a solid single. Richard Guzman singled and scored, and outfielder Rishabh Bajpai had a great game defensively.
Devil Rays 5, Dodgers 4
The Devil Rays slipped past the Dodgers with Raghav Rajvanshy driving in the go-ahead run in the fifth. Rajvanshy and Mark Gaffey anchored the Devil Rays defense with spectacular catches. Nathan Chang and Nathan Pope contributed doubles with Jason Kinner and Chris Chiang also sparking the offensive attack.
Braves 9, White Sox 3
Ryan Henderson and Stanley Chiang pitched the Braves past the White Sox. Henderson allowed no hits over three innings and the two pitchers combined for ten strikeouts. Aaron Havard powered the offense, going 3-for-3 as Eric Chang added a pair of hits and four RBI's. Andrew Chang singled, doubled and drove in a run; Jay Menon contributed a pair of hits.
Fremont Dodgers played at the Newark Royals, with Cyle Glidewell pounding a pair of homers and Joshua Scheel adding a double. Fine defensive efforts came from Giancarlo Aiuto at first base, Steadman Findlay in left field and Kelsey Findlay playing third base.
