Emerging Young Artist Exhibit
This is a special exhibit art show and sale of very talented Fremont-Newark area high school art students. These students have been working all year, starting with drawing in pencil, charcoal, colored pencil and oil pastels. Then they moved on to painting in both watercolors and acrylic. Now they are creating sculptures from polymer clay, wire, and finally recycled objects.
This whole year they have been focusing on the application of the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design/Composition in each of their projects.
The other students that are involved in the Emerging Young Artists Exhibit are high school students at Fremont Christian School who are hand-picked as the very best art students to be in this show.
These students have decided to do an art show so that they can experience all the tasks that a professional artist must complete in order to develop their own exhibit at a gallery.
In order to accomplish this monumental feat, students had to sign a contract with the gallery, write up their own artist profile, mat and frame their art and take pictures of their artwork to produce a postcard invitation.
Various styles and mediums, originals as well as prints, will be on sale and display for this show. The exhibit will be held at the Fremont Art Association Gallery, located in the Historic Niles District of Fremont.
The reception for the exhibit will be Saturday, April 14 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Please come meet and encourage these young artists and teachers and enjoy their enthusiasm and talent.
