Alex's Lemonade was founded by Alexandra "Alex" Scott when she was four, three years after she was diagnosed with cancer at the age of one. Determined to help her doctors find a cure, she set up a lemonade stand on her front lawn to raise money for pediatric cancer. When the disease took her life four years later, she had raised over $1 million from her efforts. Following her inspirational example, thousands of lemonade stands and other fundraising events have been held across the country by children, schools, businesses, and organizations, to benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation which has raised more than $10 million to date.
