Ohlone College Announces Vacancy on Board of Trustees
Due to the retirement of long-time trustee Dan Archer on February 28, 2007, Ohlone College now has a vacancy on its Board of Trustees. Applications for this position, which must be filled within 60 days, are being sought by the Board. Candidates are eligible to be a member of the governing board if they are at least 18 years of age, a California citizen, a registered voter, not disqualified by other laws to hold public office, and a resident of the City of Fremont or the portion of Union City encompassed in specified boundaries of the Ohlone Community College District.

The web site also announces upcoming Board meetings and provides meeting agendas on the Friday prior to the Board meetings. Applicants for the position are encouraged to read agendas and supporting materials and attend the Board meetings, which are open to the public.
