Irish Cultural Day
Fremont Irish League invites one and all to attend the annual Irish Cultural Day at the Fremont Library, Saturday, March 10, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Get into an Irish frame of mind with crafts and picture drawing for the kids. This year's event will feature a play about St. Patrick, Ireland's patron saint, presented by John Maloney's kids from Scared Heart School of San Jose. Of course, there will be plenty of music, singing, step-dancing and story telling too.
Butchers, bakers, candlestick makers and everyone else who cares to try may enter the Soda Bread Contest. All attendees will get to sample the contestant's best recipes. Keep an eye out! You might catch "The Leprechaun" sneaking a taste or two!
For more information, contact Timothy Reilly at (510) 494-5792. Soda Bread contestants, please contact Mike Leahy for details at (510) 445-1127.
May the road rise up to meet you on your way to Irish Cultural Day.
