Gotta dance?
Are you someone with "Happy Feet?" Music for Minors II (MMII) is making room on the dance floor for music teachers, docents, seniors, college students and other volunteers to share their passion with local children. A dance workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, January 24 to "experience the joy of dancing and learn how to share it with children." Participants will receive training in at least two easy, enjoyable dances, a CD and dance step sheets.
Sponsored by MMII, a nonprofit music enrichment program, two sessions will be led by Dr. Cheryl McElhany. Your "Happy Feet" - and the rest of you too - will observe an instructor teaching dances to k-5 grade level students and participate along with the children in order to learn the dances. Everyone is welcome to give their "Happy Feet" a chance to shine. It's time to put on those dancing shoes!
