Theme: A call to remember, celebrate act! Words, music, visuals and fellowship sponsored by Afro-American Cultural & Historical Society, Inc., Tri-City Area. Many local city, school officials and Assemblyman Alberto Torrico as well as Palma Ceia Church Choir, East Bay Christian Fellowship Priase Dancers, Ms. Gloria Grant-Wilson, Director of Adewole Community Group, Inc., Fremont Community Church, Devon King, Parks Chapel AME Church. The keynote speaker will be Rev. Paul A.W. McKery

Monday, Jan 15 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Celebrate Dr. King and his legacy. Enjoy world-renown storyteller, Diane Ferlatte and original WWII Tuskegee Airman, Woody Spears. James Logan High School Forensics national champions Austin Ashford and Dominique Washington, under the direction of Coach Tommy Lindsey, will give King's "I've Been to the Mountain" speech and selections from Rosa Parks speeches. Attendees will be entertained by musical performances of Hayward Unified School District programs. Art and Essay Contest winners will also be on display.
