New Coordinator of Sustainability at Ohlone College
The appointment of a Sustainability Coordinator, a new position at Ohlone College, was announced this week by College president Dr. Doug Treadway. Professor George Rodgers has accepted the assignment to promote innovative environmental projects, leading a highly committed team of colleagues on a Sustainability Task Force.
The Task Force will engage the college community in reducing waste, recycling, energy and water conservation, reducing materials and supplies consumption, alternative energy systems and other activities that will arise from a district-wide sustainability plan. Dr. Doug Treadway, President of Ohlone College, reiterated the importance of Ohlone's commitment to incorporating sustainability practices into all aspects of college operations and education.
