Skip the hassle, ship the luggage
It’s no secret that air travel security procedures have gone from bad to worse in terms of delays, searches and general frustrations. So, skip the hassle by shipping your luggage ahead of time.
“It’s so frustrating to be told at a security checkpoint you can’t bring something with you on the plane,” explained Corazon Sumagaysay, owner of Postal Annex+ in Hayward. “Often you end up just throwing the item away. Even with a revised list available from the Transportation Security Administration, there still is leeway for the security officers to determine what is or is not allowable. Many items, such as makeup, which is now banned from carry-ons, are very expensive to replace. We offer a solution to this problem.”
Travelers can pack and ship their luggage ahead of arrival to their destination, via a variety of shipping companies like UPS and FedEx. Before returning home, attach a return label and cruise through those annoying but necessary security checkpoints.
