In my campaign in 2004 and again in 2006, I have met constituents throughout the district at festivals, parades, and other community events. I have listened to their concerns and to their visions for our community and our country. I am an independent Republican by nature and philosophy. I support Republican values of personal responsibility, fiscal responsibility, and smaller government. Everything else is "on the table." My message is that I cannot serve the people of my district if I am all Republican or all Democrat. That message has been well received.
