Sunol Glen Unified School District Governing Board

(Vote for two)

Guineth Elaine "Guin" Van Dyke
Occupation: incumbent

- Attract and retain talented teachers.
- Continue building enrollment to prevent deficit spending.

My family and I moved to Sunol more than 11 years ago. Both of my children attended and graduated from Sunol Glen. My husband is a local businessman who is self employed as a U.S. Patent Agent. I was very active in my children's classrooms and held several positions in the Community Club. I have served on Foothill High School Site Council for one year, and have been on the Sunol Glen Site Council for the last 6 years.

Graham Barnes
Occupation: business executive

- Seek ways to maintain a balanced budget to secure our schools' futures.
- Improve math and science curriculum and support enrichment programs.

Like all of you, I love Sunol and want to preserve the wonderful balance of being a small rural community connected to the global opportunity of Silicon Valley and the dynamic and beautiful San Francisco Bay Area. Maintaining this rural quality of life is not going to get easier as the pressure of growth impacts Sunol. The safe, secure and extended-family atmosphere of Sunol Glen is an ideal environment for children to learn and develop their social and intellectual abilities.

Linda Pappas
Occupation: teacher; educator; accountant
