New graduate student services office opensby Barry Zeppel
Cal State East Bay announces the opening of a new office providing information and guidance for students about a broad range of CSUEB academic programs and support services. Room 877 of Warren Hall is now open under the supervision of the university's Department of Academic Programs and Graduate Studies.
"APGS Student Services is dedicated to promoting the excellent quality of Cal State East Bay's graduate programs," said Vana Tran, who was recently appointed as the department's student services manager." The staff consistently communicates with the university's graduate coordinators in each field of study to obtain up-to-date information about master's and certificate programs, and then provides it to interested CSUEB students."
Graduate students are encouraged to visit the new office to find the latest information about research competitions, fellowships, grants and pre-doctoral incentives. The office also provides a computer workstation available to walk-in students for conducting online research on graduate schools, programs and financial aid.
An ever-growing library of hard-copy resources is available there as well. The resources include course catalogs from other universities, books about graduate admissions tests and related information. Also available through the new office are university theses services.
Additional information about graduate programs, resources and events are available by visiting the APGS Student Services Office or by calling (510) 885-3286. |
