Notice of Public Hearing
The City of Fremont is currently conducting a feasibility and preliminary engineering study of the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) corridor within the city limits of Fremont to evaluate the potential for converting portions of the existing railroad corridor, plus future abandoned portions, into a Class 1 bicycle and pedestrian trail. The public is invited to attend a kick-off Trail Feasibility Study hearing.
Participants will have opportunities to provide input regarding potential trail alignments and access issues. Public concerns regarding privacy, noise, crime, vandalism and potential impacts to property values will be discussed as well as concerns of adjacent property owners regarding liability, safety and maintenance.
