Scream, Under-14 girl's House Team, came up against the undefeated Fog last Wednesday, Sept 27 in what turned out to be a defensive epic. Chances at goal were kept to a minimum as attack after attack was snuffed out by great defense at both ends.

The Fog probably had the best chances in the early going, but whatever shot they took was easily saved by Scream goalie Sara Talooi. At the other end, Melody Chen, Reema Agarwal and Rhian Dunn all had chances, but failed to get off good shots because of The Fog's tough defense. At the end of the first half, a good move down the left wing by the Fog's Rachel Gerards, led to a goal as she scored from a very tight angle to make it 1-0.

The second half started like the first with much of the action in the middle of the field. Scream played aggressive soccer to try to tie the game with Tina Kantaria, Chrystalle Navarro, Nicole Gronski, and Adrienne Fong, all playing their best games of the season.

Scream's best chance in the second half came from a dazzling run by left back, Selina Mahesri, who dribbled the ball the length of field from her own penalty area into Fog's penalty area, but was unable to finish and tie the score.  Fog also had a good scoring chance as they hit the crossbar from a long range shot.  In the end, neither defense broke as the 1-0 score held up at the final whistle.

The Green Gators of the Under-12 girl's House League, lost their second straight one-goal game on Monday, Sept. 25 as the Stompers scored late in the second half to break a 1-1 tie.  Madison Cook scored the lone goal for the Gators while Syclaire Hamilton, Abigal Harrison and Claire Castren had near misses. Jessica Geier also played well for Gators in the 2-1 loss to Stompers.

On Wednesday, Sept. 20, in the Under-14 girl's House League, Blue Streak's Ally Hamro Cardona scored the team's second goal of the season in a 4-1 loss to Scream. Priya Chokshi and Anchal Ahuja played well for Blue Streak against the stronger Scream team.
