Juried photography exhibit entry forms now available

Fremont Cultural Arts Council's "Thirteenth Annual Juried Photography Exhibition" will begin Friday, October 27. Margaret Thornberry, President of FCAC said that the Recreational Services of the City of Fremont is assisting Fremont Arts Cultural Council in this joint venture.
Exhibit Chairman, Jason Cheng pointed out, "It is open to all residents of Fremont and to members of the two photo clubs, Fremont Photographic Society and Photogenesis. This year, in addition to the traditional open or general category, we will have a special category with awards for photos of Fremont. This is made possible by contributions from Celebrate Fremont."
The opening night reception and awards ceremony will be held on Friday, October 27, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Fremont Main Library's Fukaya Room. Photographs selected by the panel of judges will be on display in the Library's reading area behind the main desk on the first floor from October 30 to December 1.
Entry forms are available at the FCAC office, 3375 Country Drive, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays; and the Fremont Recreational Services office, 3300 Capitol Avenue Building B; the Library and many photo processing counters. Entry forms can also be downloaded at the FCAC Website, www.fremontculturalartscouncil.org.
A $5 entry per photograph is being charged. Only a maximum of five prints per entrant will be accepted. Color or black and white prints must be delivered to Fremont Cultural Arts Council, 3375 Country Drive, Fremont, CA 94536. Prints will be collected on Friday, October 13, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, October 14, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, October 15, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For further details, contact Exhibit Chairman, Jason Cheng at (510) 683-9536.
