Meditation practices for older adults
Meditation has always been an alternative solution to combat stress and during September and October, the Alameda County Library is offering a series of free classes for older adults.
In this series, you will learn guided meditation by instructors Sue Hulley and Ellen Matthews who have experience teaching seniors. Sessions will include practices recognized through the ages to develop calmness and insight, using ancient Tibetan meditation techniques. These techniques can nourish integration of spiritual and a practical understanding of human nature and their ability to promote health and healing.
Water will be provided and people will sit on chairs.
The dates offered are Tuesdays: Sept. 12, 19, 26, and Oct. 3 at the Fremont Main Library located at 2400 Stevenson Blvd., Fremont. Classes will be held in the Fukaya Room. Reservations are not necessary. For more information, please call (510) 745-1440.
