What a beautiful day it was July 22nd when Julia Delgado with family and friends celebrated her 100th birthday at Windsor Park nursing home in Fremont. Mrs. Delgado has three children, thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Celebrants took time to remember her beloved husband, Marion, who passed away in 1994, and a grandson, Tim Cole, who died in 1979.

Julia was born in Spain and lived in Union City for 78 years. She and her late husband were school sweethearts in Spain. They were happily married for 67 years.

Mrs. Delgado was a magnificent Spanish cook and also enjoyed gardening and crocheting in her younger days. Family and friends continue to share her favorite recipes with her and their families.
