General Municipal Consolidated Election on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006

Pursuant to the State of California Elections Code Section 10225, the deadline for filing nomination papers for one of two seats on the Fremont City Council has been extended until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006, because incumbent Councilmember Dominic Dutra has not sought re-election.

The Fremont City Council is seeking residents interested in serving their community.  Interested citizens at least 18 years of age, registered to vote, and residing in the city of Fremont, may obtain a nomination packet from the City Clerk's Office, 3300 Capitol Avenue, Building A, Fremont, Calif., during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weekdays until the deadline.
