Hot cars, great food, great funby Arnie Becker
Come one, come all to the annual Niles Merchants Association Hot August Car Show Saturday, Aug. 19. There is no car too new or too old that can participate in this fun-filled day for the family. With a 50/50 raffle (must be present to win), live music, and open Niles shops, it's a fine time to stroll, shop, eat and just visit with friends and neighbors. Even though the pre-registration deadline has passed, vehicles may still be entered on show day for a $25 fee.
This year, as always, a large crowd from around the Tri-Cities and beyond is expected to come out and enjoy oldie music along with the old historic cars and the fairly new cars their proud owners will be showing off. The show is an excellent venue to teach youngsters the history of the American automobile and actually show them what these antiques and classics looked like when new, or in some cases, even better than new.
Maintaining these cars is expensive and time-consuming, but for their owners it's a labor of love. Niles merchants and all the exhibitors invite you to share their passion for cars at the Hot August Car Show.
