Visit Fremont businesses and win with a Passport
Fremont businesses have created a fun and profitable way for local citizens to discover the wide variety of shops and restaurants in the city. A free booklet, called a "Passport," was developed by the historic districts merchants of Centerville, Irvington, Mission San Jose, Niles and Warm Springs with the Fremont Chamber of Commerce. Each passport contains business listings with special offers, discounts and incentives.
The Passport program kicks-off at the Fremont Festival of the Arts, August 5 and 6, and runs through the end of the year. Approximately 15,000 free Passports will be distributed to Fremont residents at the festival, at participating merchants or at the Chamber office located at 39488 Stevenson Place, Suite 100.
Passport holders become eligible for prizes by visiting participating merchants and having their booklet stamped. Visit more business to become eligible for higher value prizes. The Passport also includes entry coupons for $250 "Discovery Packs" to be awarded at five community events (attendance is not required): Niles Antique Fair, August 27; Celebrate Fremont at the Park, September 9; Mission San Jose Olive Festival, October 7; Candle Lighters Ghost House Kid's Parade, October 21; Baskin & Robbins Drawing, November 18. Winners will be announced during that month's community event, posted in the Tri-City Voice and on each Business District Associations' website.
Individual participating merchants may also hold their own monthly drawings and winners will also be listed and posted in the same manner. Special "Key to Savings" tags will also be available at the Neighborhood & Business Booth during the Celebrate Fremont event on September 9 & 10. Additional Tree Lighting Ceremony Prizes will be awarded at each of the five District's tree lighting events. These include: Holiday Tree Lighting and Festival of Lights Parade in Niles on November 24; Centerville Holiday Tree Lighting on November 26; Mission San Jose Tree Lighting, December 2; Warms Springs Holiday Tree Lighting, December 8 and Irvington Monument Lighting, December 9.
The grand prize drawing takes place January 12, 2007. Prizes will be divided into categories qualified by the number of business stamps in the Passport. These prize packages include a $1,500 travel voucher; flat screen TV; laptop computer; iPod or Xbox; $1,000 catering certificate; "couples package" consisting of dining, spa treatments flowers and dry cleaning; "Home Fix Up" package; one year of free pizza;, digital camera; private movie screening and much more!
