Fremont's Safe Alternatives to Violent Environments (SAVE), a non-profit domestic violence assistance agency, seeks local support in their drive to secure a $20,000 grant from Avon Foundation. It's as simple as visiting the Avon tent at the corner of Hastings and Capitol (across from City Hall), August 5 and 6 at the Fremont Festival of the Arts between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and signing your name.

Avon will be visiting festivals and fairs throughout the summer in conjunction with local domestic violence agencies, collecting signatures to "Speak Out Against Violence." The agency collecting the most signatures wins the $20,000. Fremont's SAVE wants to be the winner and they need your help to spread the word!

Grab friends, relatives, neighbors and casual acquaintances, come enjoy the arts and drop by the Avon tent to show your support for a worthy cause.
