Fremont's John F. Kennedy High School's traditional week-long Football Camp is quickly approaching. The team has been working hard and is looking forward to working even harder over the next month. Coach Pete Michaletos has been running this extraordinary camp for 20 years. This year's Titan motto is "Back to the Basics," and that's exactly what the coaches hope to instill in these players. Varsity players will move onto the Kennedy campus Sunday, Aug. 20 and spend the next five days and nights focusing on training as a team. The team and coaches sleep in the school's mini gym, while each day a crew of parents, with food donations from the community, prepares large, well-balanced meals for the coaches and players. Each night's dinner has a different theme.
Eric Bitting, who is returning as the starting quarterback, is looking forward to having a winning season. The Titans' first game is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 2 against Livermore. Go TITANS!
